A blogging quiz, swiped from my college friend’s blog

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
“Let everyone pick and choose from among the suggested garnishes.” — Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food, Great Food Fast (I’m in the kitchen…the closest thing is a cookbook)
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
My basket o’crap (i.e., all sorts of things I have to fill out, read or return) on my desk
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Sprinters on the Olympics
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
12:22 am
5: Now look at the clock; what is the actual time?
12:07 am
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
White noise from my children’s bedroom monitors
7: When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
At 9:30 pm to drink red wine with two of my girlfriends on their front porch
8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
My facebook page
9: What are you wearing?
Brown hooded sweatshirt, jeans, flip-flops
10: Did you dream last night?
Yes… I dreamt that two of my long-lost friends from college confronted me about friending them on facebook and said they didn’t want to get back in touch with me. Wow. What does that tell you?
11: When did you last laugh?
With two of my girlfriends, drinking red wine on the front porch.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
A picture of my grandfather at a 1946 Knights of Columbus communion breakfast, four melamine plates, a sketch of an African American washwoman that belonged to my in-laws.
13: Seen anything weird lately?
I’m from NYC and I live in Bergen County. That’s a given.
14: What do you think of this quiz?
It’s getting me ready for bed.
15: What is the last film you saw?
“Sex and the City.” That’s kind of pathetic, isn’t it?
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
A fabulous apartment in Manhattan.
17: Tell me something about you that I don’t know.
I shkeeve anything eye-related. Contacts, eye drops, you name it.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
I would eliminate war. Done deal. Wouldn’t even be an option.
19: Do you like to dance?
Honestly? I think it’s overrated. I’d rather sit and drink.
20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
I think he’s a big, freaking, stupid idiot who’s been a puppet for eight years. His administration has ruined this country for generations to come. But that’s just my two cents.
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
My first child was a girl. We named her Claire.
22: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
My second child was a boy. We named him Benjamin.
23: Would you ever consider living abroad?
I did. I lived in London for nearly six months. I don’t think I’d do it now, with young children, but maybe someday.
