This is what years of fractured sleep can do to you

You know what I didn’t get until I became a parent? How tired I would be. How sleep is no longer my domain. How I need to not only function — but be really nice — on less than seven hours sleep. How pointless it is to own an alarm clock when you have young children.

I get it now.
